Both have wide working experience in the state health sector so they have a keen understanding of the unique set of challenges that face hospital administrators and medical practitioners.

The majority shareholder and managing director of Icembe Medical, Dr Sbu Mhlambi is a Harvard graduate with a masters’ degree in family medicine. Sbu has had a varied and successful career as a clinician in private and public practice, an academic and an accomplished transformational leader / turnaround manager in the state hospital sector.
Strengthening his leadership is his high profile partner, Queen Thandi Zulu, an experienced nurse, business woman and leading health activist.
